Fred HARRISON, 74, longtime resident of Jefferson County, died at 6 a.m. Sunday at the Jefferson County Hospital.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Behner Funeral Home. The Rev. Charles Kincaid will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the First Christian Church or the Parkview Care Center.
HARRISON had been employed by the Iowa Highway Commission and Department of Transportation for 31 years, and he was a member of the First Christian Church.
Born Dec. 20, 1909, in Wapello County, he was the son of Walter and Mary MOWERY HARRISON. He lived most of his life in Jefferson County.
Survivors include a daughter, Betty HICKENBOTTOM, Route 2, and a son, Eugene HARRISON, Dunedin, Fla.
Other survivors are four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; three sisters, Blanche COPELAND, Faith HARRISON and Viola SALTS, all of Fairfield; and two brothers, Harold and Junior HARRISON both of Fairfield.
He was preceded in death by two brothers.
