Oren T. HARRELL Dies Suddenly

Graveside services for Oren T. HARRELL will be held in Evergreen Cemetery at 4 p.m. Friday with the Rev. Ned Gillum officiating.

HARRELL, a former resident of Fairfield, died suddenly Tuesday morning at his home in Gowrie where he was superintendent of the consolidated community school district (note: in Webester Co., IA).

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Gowrie after which the casket will be brought to Fairfield for burial.

HARRELL is survived by his widow, the former Irene JAQUES, also a former resident of Fairfield.

He graduated from Fairfield High School in 1930.

Grave Rites For Oren T. HARRELL

Graveside services will be at 4 p.m. Friday in Evergreen Cemetery for Oren T. HARRELL, former Fairfield resident who died suddenly Tuesday morning at his home in Gowrie.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. in Gowrie after which the casket will be brought to Fairfield for burial. The Rev. Ned Gillum will officiate.

HARRELL, 59, was superintendent of the Gowrie Community School District at the time of his death.

He was born Oct. 3, 1911 at LaJunta, Colo., the son of Arch and Lenore WALL HARRELL. He was married June 9, 1943 to Irene L. JAQUES.

He attended the Fairfield schools, Parsons College, Drake University, the University of Iowa and Iowa State University and received his master's degree in school administration and guidance and counseling.

He has lived in the following communities: Atkins, Crawfordsville, Altoona and Gowrie.

HARRELL is survived by his wife, one daughter, Lucinda, two sons, Douglas and Richard, and one sister. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, one sister and one son.
