AJ RACHELE, 75, of Fairfield, IA passed away on Sunday, February 4, 2024, at Addington Place in Fairfield, IA. A service to celebrate his life will begin at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 7, 2024 at the Cranston Family Funeral Home in Fairfield, IA. Armand Joseph RACHEL, known affectionately by friends and family as "AJ," was born on October 30, 1948, in Springfield, Massachusetts. AJ graduated from Dartmouth College, where he honed his skills that would later define his professional career. His intellect and entrepreneurial spirit led him to a successful stint as an IT recruiter before he established his own physician recruiting business. AJ's professional life was characterized by dedication and excellence, and he worked tirelessly until his health no longer permitted.

Despite the demands of his career, AJ always prioritized family and personal enrichment. He was a loving father to Theresa RACHELE and Paul (Kay) RACHELE, a role he cherished alongside being an adored grandfather to Leo, Cole, and Ruthie, and a brother to Lois RACHELE.

Beyond his business success, AJ had a passion for the world's flavors and cultures. He once studied abroad in France, an experience that ignited his lifelong love of travel. AJ enjoyed good food, he also found joy in the kitchen, sharing his culinary creations with loved ones. AJ made sure to stay active, often swimming or walking to maintain his health.

His legacy is carried on by his children and grandchildren, who will miss his guidance and infections enthusiasm. AJ was preceded in death by his parents, Armando and Laura BRIGHENTI RACHELE, and his beloved wife, Robin.
