Rites Tuesday At Church For Milo HAMILTON

Last rites will be Tuesday afternon for Milo M. HAMILTON, well-known Fairfield resident and former city council member, who died Saturday at the Jefferson county hospital of a heart ailment.

The services tomorrow will be held at the First Methodist church at 2:30 p.m. (CDT), with the Rev. J. Roland Crandall officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.

The body will be taken from the Weston Behner funeral home to the church where it will lie in state from 1 p.m. until time for the services.

HAMILTON was taken to the hospital last Thursday after becoming ill while at work at the Jefferson Motor company where he had been employed for a number of years.

He had been a resident of Fairfield over 41 years and had been an active member of the Masonic order for a long period of time. He served as master of Clinton Lodge No. 15, A.F. and A.M., and also served as high priest of Royal Arch Masons.

HAMILTON was a member of the First Methodist church, and served in the city as a councilman for nine years.

Milo M. HAMILTON, 57, was born July 23, 1903, at Sharpsburg, Ia., the son of George W. and Mary Alice McINTIRE HAMILTON. He was united in marriage at Seymour, Ia., to Cleo M. DONALD (sic - Cleo M. BLOUGH) who survives.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son, Leland M. HAMILTON, Park Ridge, Ill., and two grandchildren.

Other survivors include two sisters, Mrs. Harry COOP, Fairfield, and Mrs. Albert MROGENSKI, Fairfield; two brothers, Lloyd W. HAMILTON, Fairfield, and Howard HAMILTON, Grand Rapids, Minn.
