Mrs. Marie SHRINER HALL, 71, long-time Fairfield resident, died Sunday at 11:30 p.m. at St. Joseph hospital in Ottumwa after a lingering illness.
Mrs. HALL had been making her home with her daughter, Mrs. Kathryn FOXX, in Ottumwa. Services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Weston Behner Funeral home in charge of the Rev. J. Roland Crandall. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.
Mrs. HALL was born June 4, 1889 in Henry county, the daughter of Andrew and Anna PETERSON THOMSON. She was married to Hugh M. SHRINER Nov. 4, 1907. He died Dec. 19, 1929. On Oct. 10, 1938 she was married to Bliss W. (sic - Bliss A.) HALL. He preceded her in death April 19, 1957.
Mrs. HALL was a member of the First Methodist church. She is survived by the following children: Mrs. FOXX, Ottumwa; Agnes SHRINER, Chicago, Ill.; Marquis SHRINER, Fort Hamilton, N. Y.; and Charles SHRINER, Madera, Calif.
Six grandchildren, one great grandchild and the following sisters and brothers also survive: Mrs. Andrew DAUB and Mrs. Louie PEQUIGNOT, Fairfield; Mrs. Parvin HOWELL, Lockridge; Mrs. Abe SCHWARTZ, Winfield; Mrs. Roy LEE, Fairfield; George THOMSON, Libertyville; Thomas THOMSON and Jake THOMSON, Fairfield; and Bert THOMSON, Baudette, Minn. Two sisters and one brother are deceased.
