Mrs. Dora GUMM died at her home, 705 S. 3rd at 3:35 a.m. today. Eighty-one years old, she had been in poor health for about six years, and seriously ill for the past four months. Mrs. GUMM had been a resident of Fairfield for 33 years.
Her husband, Robert GUMM, died on Jan. 11, 1932 (sic - 1933). She is survived by three children, Mrs. C. G. BUSH of Fairfield, Warren GUMM, at home and Mrs. Frank LAWSON, of Birmingham; and one brother, Mart HALL of South of Fairfield.
Mrs. GUMM was a member of the Congregational church. She was active in the American Legion Auxiliary and the V. F. W. Auxiliary, and was a member of the Women's Relief Corps, the Pythian Sisters, Royal Neighbors and the Degree of Honor.
One thing of which Mrs. GUMM was proud was the large number of Fairfield babies for whom she had acted as god-mother.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 Monday afternoon at the Christian church, in charge of Rev. S. P. Williamson. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.
