Funeral of Miss GILMER.

The funeral of Miss Mary Louise GILMER, who passed away Monday afternoon after a few days illness at the home of her father on East Burlington street, was held Wednesday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock at the residence. Rev. G. W. Burch pastor of the Christian church, conducted the last services and spoke of the young life which had returned to its maker in a very touching manner.

The funeral was the largest which has been held in this city for some time and the many girl friends present sincerely mourned the departure of this bright young girl. There were banks of beautiful flowers from friends far and near and these gave their silent tribute of love to the girl who had passed from this earth.

A number of out of town people were here to attend the funeral and among them were the following: Mrs. James SCOTT and daughter Ilene, Miss Bernice SCOTT and Mr. Enioch SCOTT of Galesburg, Ill., Mrs. S. Bolinger of Afton, Miss Clara Shuckrow and Mr. and Mrs. TIERNEY of Ottumwa.
