Louis W. GILLY, 76, died suddenly Friday at 3:30 p.m. when he was stricken with a heart attack at his home at 500 N. Main St.
Services will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. at the Raymond Funeral home in charge of the Rev. J. Roland Crandall. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.
GILLY was day clerk at the Leggett hotel. He was also engaged in the real estate business in San Bernadino (sic - San Bernardino), Calif., for several years. He had been a resident of Fairfield for 62 years.
GILLY was born Jan. 13, 1886 at Hebron, Neb., the son of Charles J. and Mary Barbara JORDAN GILLY. He was reared and educated in Brighton and Fairfield. He was married to Edithe FISHER in 1910.
Surviving are one son, Charles GILLY, Traverse City, Mich.; four grandchildren; and one sister, Aletha GILLY, Fairfield. Two nieces also survive.
