H. B. GENTRY, 66, retired Louden Machinery Co. employe, died suddenly Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. at the Jefferson County hospital following a brief illness.
GENTRY, a resident of Fairfield for 44 years, entered the hospital Sunday. His home was at 1004 W. Hempstead St.
Last rites will be held Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at Hoskins Funeral home in charge of Dr. C. R. Douglass. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.
GENTRY retired Jan. 6 as factory superintendent at the Louden Co. He had been employed by the firm since 1913.
GENTRY was born June 21, 1891 at Quincy, Ill., the son of Robert and May FOUST GENTRY. He was reared and educated in Quincy. He was married to Carrie Mae McBRIDE Dec. 21, 1912 at Columbia, Mo.
Surviving are his wife and one son, H. B. GENTRY, Jr., Bloomfield. Three grandchildren, a brother, Richard GENTRY, Long Beach, Calif.; and two sisters, Mrs. Walter RITTMILLER, Bloomington, Ill.; and Mrs. Irene STUCKER, Chandler, Ariz., also survive. One brother is deceased.
