Helen I. McINTIRE was called to be with God in Heaven on September 1, 2023. she was greeted into the loving arms of Kenneth, who passed away April 8, 1985. Graveside services will be held September 13, 2023, at 11:00 AM in Evergreen Cemetery, Fairfield, Iowa.

Helen was born January 30, 1928, in Jefferson County, Iowa to Vince and Mary (DROZ) BROWN. She married Kenneth P. McINTIRE, December 31, 1946 in Fairfield. She and Ken worked for and then purchased Harken's Meats, Richland, Iowa until 1968 when they sold it and moved to Fairfield. They then moved to Las Vegas, Nevada in 1978 and both worked for the State of Nevada. Kenneth passed away April 8, 1985. Helen retired in 1989 and moved to Chillicothe, Missouri to be closer to her son and family. She moved to Ankeny, Iowa in 2008 to be close to her daughter and family.

She is survived by daughter, Connie (Tom) STEWART, Urbandale, Iowa and son, Nick (Jeri) McINTIRE, Hot Springs, Arkansas. She leaves behind 5 grandchildren, Jeff (Jennifer) FLEMING, Ankeny, Joel (Jamie) FLEMING, Cindy McINTIRE, Kaylene (Ty) HARRELSON, all of Grimes, Lisa (Kyle) MEYER, Kansas City, Missouri; and 7 great-grandchildren, Cheyenne, Clayton, Dena, Jamie, Kailyn and Kambri FLEMING, Christine HARRELSON, plus several nieces and nephew.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth, parents, brothers Charles and John and sisters, Ruth BRERETON, Pearl SAMUELSON and Eva BROWN.
