LibertyvilleWarren Earl PEARSON, 73, of rural Libertyville, IA, passed away on Wednesday, July 19, 2023, at the Jefferson County Health Center. Funeral services will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 26, 2023, at the Cranston Family Funeral Home in Fairfield, with Pastor Danny Cary officiating. Burial will be held in the Fell Cemetery near Libertyville immediately following the service. Visitation will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 25, 2023, at the Cranston Family Funeral Home in Fairfield with the family present to receive friends from 4:00 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. Memorial contributions in Warren's honor may be directed to the Fairfield Trojan Athletic Boosters. Friends may leave online condolences at www.cranstonfamilyfuneralhome.com.
Warren was born September 1, 1949, in Van Buren County at home to Glenn Edwin and Ellen (TEDROW) PEARSON. He married Dona NORDSTROM at the Methodist Church in Fairfield, Iowa.
Warren served in the Army from 1969 to 1972, including a tour in Vietnam. Warren worked as a life-long farmer. He drove a school bus for many years for Fairfield Community School District. He also was a part time charter bus driver for Burlington Trailways. He enjoyed watching high school, college and professional sports events that he drove the bus for. He loved spending time with his family members when his busy schedule allowed. He loved working on the farm with his son, Charles.
Warren will be greatly missed by several, but especially by his son, Charles of Fairfield and his wife, Dona PEARSON of Fairfield. He is also survived by his sisters, Marjorie NAVIN of Des Moines, Virginia HANKS of New London, Constance PEARSON of Loves Park, Illinois; his brothers, Melvin (Bonnie) of Des Moines and Glen (Luis) of Hollywood, Florida; two brothers-in-law, Gary SAMUELSON of Fairfield and Rick STEPHENSON of Tucum Cari, NM (sic); as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Warren was preceded in death by his parents, Glenn PEARSON and Ellen T. PEARSON; brothers, Kenneth PEARSON and Raymond PEARSON; two brothers-in-law, Paul NAVIN and Darrell HANKS; and two sisters-in-law, Susan SAMUELSON and Jane Ann STEPHENSON.
