Thomas "Tom" Luther HARRIS III, age 54 of Fairfield, passed away Monday, June 12, 2023, at St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids, Iowa (note: in Linn Co., IA).

A celebration of life gathering will be on his 55th birthday, August 6, 2023, at the Orpheum Café and Theater. The family will receive gusts (sic) starting at 1:00 p.m., and the service will begin at 2:00 p.m.

Tom was born August 6, 1968, in Fort Worth, TX, to Thomas Luther HARRIS Jr. and Dempsey Sally (SWAIN) HARRIS. He married Donna Denise OSTERHOLT on November 25, 1995.

Tom has lived in Fairfield for the last 19 years. He worked at MIU as an IT Specialist. Tom was an extreme lifelong Dallas Cowboys fan. He liked bowling, golfing and playing World of Warcraft. Some of his favorite TV shows were Walking Dead and Game of Thrones. Tom collected comic books, beanie hats and coins. Most important was spending time with his family.

Tom is survived by Donna HARRIS (wife), Megan HARRIS (daughter), Chris HARRIS (son), Samuel HARRIS (son), Kay LOGAN (sister), Barry LOGAN (brother), Jim SAYERS (brother-in-law), Danny RECKLEY (brother-in-law), Bart TARBELL (nephew), DeAnn HUMPHRIS (niece), Danielle PITZER (niece) and her children Dempsey and Oliver, Damon RECKLEY (nephew) and his children Johnathan and Kamryn, James SAYERS (nephew), Carie LOGAN-BLACKWELL (niece) and her children, Meghan and Blake, Erin LOGAN (niece) and her child Anakin.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Dempsey; sister, Debbie SAYERS; and his Ma Maw.
