Glenn P. GANTZ, native of Jefferson county and well known farmer, died this morning at 1:15 a.m. at the Jefferson county hospital. He had been a patient at the hospital since Sept. 3.
Last rites will be Monday at 2 p.m. at the Raymond funeral home with the Rev. Ned Gillum and the Rev. Hoyt Whitebread officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.
Glenn Paul GANTZ, 68, was born Sept. 26, 1896, in Jefferson county, the son of John A. and Lizzie ABRAHAM GANTZ. He attended schools in Fairfield, graduated from the Fairfield high school and attended Parsons College.
He was united in marriage on Dec. 6, 1946, at Fayetteville, Arkansas, to Etta WARNER GANTZ. She survives.
He moved to Fairfield when a boy and had lived in this community for the past 58 years. However, he continued to farm during the remainder of his life. The GANTZ farm is located northwest of Fairfield.
He was a member of the Christian church, the Shrine, and was a 32nd Degree Mason. The family home is located at 207 W. Adams.
In addition to his wife GANTZ is survived by a sister, Mrs. Marie GRAUEL, Fairfield. He was preceded in death by one brother and three sisters.

In The District Court Of The State Of Iowa In And For Jefferson County
In The Matter Of The Estate Of Glenn GANTZ, Deceased.
To All Persons Interested In The Above Entitled Estate:
You are hereby notified that on the 22nd day of October, 1964, the last will and testament of the above named decedent, bearing date the 19th day of September, 1964, was admitted to probate in the above named court and that the undersigned was appointed executor of said estate.
Notice is given that all persons indebted to said estate are requested to make immediate payment to the undersigned, and creditors having claims against said estate shall file them with the clerk of the above named district court, as provided by law, duly authenticated, for allowance; and unless so filed within six months from the second publication of this notice (unless otherwise allowed or paid) such claim shall thereafter be forever barred.
