Millard Earl MORGAN, 81, of Fairfield, passed away Sunday, June 12, 2022, at Prestige Care. Visitation for family and friends will be 2 to 3:30 p.m. Saturday, June 18, 2022, at Behner Funeral Home. Funeral service will start at 3:30 p.m. with Pastor Danny Cary officiating. Burial will follow the service at the family cemetery on the Morgan Farm, 2223 Episcia Ave., Batavia, IA 52533.

Memorials may be made to Jefferson County Fair, Rubio Community Building, 190 First. St., Rubio, IA 52585 or Olmsted - Urban House Urbandale, IA 50322. Cards and memorials may be mailed to Kara ROBERTS, 2205 Pine Ave., Fairfield, IA 52556.

Millard was born Nov. 7, 1940, in Fairfield to Clayton B. and Martha (OLMSTED) MORGAN. He married Sharon Sue MAPLE on June 22, 1958, in Fairfield. They were blessed with 42 years of marriage before she passed away on July 1, 2000.

Millard graduated from Fairfield High School in 1958. He lived all his life in rural Jefferson County. Millard worked in the maintenance department and in production at Chain and Cable, Rockwell and Dexter retiring from Dexter in 2006. He also farmed and did carpenter work.

Millard was a past member of the Elks, Pork Producer, Jefferson County Fair board and trustee of Des Moines Township. He collected coins, antique furniture and antique tractors. Millard enjoyed watching birds, especially the Bald Eagle. Every year they would attend the State Fair and camp on the grounds. Two of Millard's favorite foods were a cheeseburger and ice cream with dog Cody. Most important to Millard was spending time with his family. He and Sharon followed their kids and grandchildren school activities. (sic)

Millard will be missed by his children, Kevin (Brenda) MORGAN, Suszanne (Kim) PALMER, Dennis MORGAN and Kara (Steve) ROBERTS; grandchildren, Scott MORGAN, Natalie MORGAN, Brianne BETHARDS, Alex PALMER, Rachel MORGAN, Sarah MORGAN, Hannah MORGAN, Jacob MORGAN, Madison ROBERTS and Kyle ROBERTS; four great grandchildren; and two sisters, Marlene MELCHER and Madeline TARKANOV.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clayton and Martha; wife, Sharon; and in-laws, Stanley and Margaret MAPLE.
