E. M. GALBRAITH Taken In Death

E. M. GALBRAITH, 60, 909 E. Burlington Ave., died this morning at Veterans hospital in Iowa City (note: in Johnson Co., IA). He had been in poor health for some time.

GALBRAITH entered the Jefferson County hospital for treatment Tuesday morning. He was transferred to Veterans hospital late Tuesday night.

The body is at the Raymond Funeral home. Services are pending.

E. M. GALBRAITH Rites Saturday

Funeral services for Edward M. GALBRAITH, 56, 909 E. Burlington, will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. a the First Lutheran church.

GALBRAITH died Wednesday at Veterans hospital in Iowa City after being transferred there from the Jefferson County hospital Tuesday night. He had been in failing health since last October.

GALBRAITH was a retired salesman for the National Biscuit Co. Rites will be conducted by the Rev. H. L. Whitebread. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery. The body will be taken from the Raymond Funeral home to the church Saturday at 1 p.m.

GALBRAITH was born June 5, 1906 at Gladstone, Ill., the son of fred and Bertha COOPER GALBRAITH. He was married to Eleanor PALMBERG Nov. 26, 1931. He had been a resident of Fairfield for 23 years. He was a member of the Lutheran church, Benevolent Protective Order of Elks and the American Legion.

Surviving are his wife and five daughters: Mrs. Harold TRUMBULL II, Iowa City; Mrs. Robert HARPER, Oklahoma City, Okla.; Mrs. James WAUGH, Burlington; Kathy and Linda, both at home. Five grandchildren also survive. His parents, two brothers and two sisters preceded him in death.

NOTICE OF PROBATE OF WILL IN DISTRICT COURT

State of Iowa,
Jefferson County, ss.

To All Whom It May Concern:

You Are Hereby Notified, That an instrument of writing purporting to be the last Will and Testament of Edward M. GALBRAITH, deceased, dated December 22, 1943 having been this day filed, opened and read, Tuesday the 26th day of February, 1963, is fixed for hearing proof of same at the Court House in Fairfield, Iowa, before the District Court of said County, or the Clerk of said Court, and at 9:30 o'clock a.m. of the day above mentioned all persons interested are hereby notified and required to appear, and show cause if any they have, why said instrument should not be probated and allowed as and for the last Will and Testament of said deceased.
