Widow of Civil Veteran And Publisher Dies Saturday HereMrs. George H. FRASHER, widow of the former publisher of the Jefferson County Republican, and Civil War soldier, died at her home, 207 North D street, at 6:30 o'clock Saturday evening, after a lingering illness.
Mrs. FRASHER was born near the Haskins neighborhood, in Washington county, Iowa, Nov. 1, 1857, and was the daughter of Thomas J. and Nancy BAIRD. She had lived in Fairfield for nearly 40 years.
Her husband, with whom she was associated in the Jefferson County Republican, preceded her in death about nine years ago (sic - in 1928).
She leaves the following children: Mrs. N. A. STUMP of Rosemead, Calif., and John B. FRASHER of Cedar Rapids. A daughter, Florene, died in infancy. Two grandchildren also survive, Louise STUMP and George FRASHER.
Aside from her children she leaves a sister Mrs. Olive A. SMITH of Woodburn, Oregon, and a brother W. A. BAIRD of Bellingham Washington(.)
Mrs. FRASHER was a charter member of the United Presbyterian church in Fairfield, and later became a member of the First Presbyterian church in this city. She was a faithful member of the W. C. T. U. and leaves a wide circle of friends in Fairfield.
The body was taken to the Campbell Funeral Home in this city. The funeral services will be held on Sunday, in charge of Rev. Gilbert Voorhies. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery. The time and place of the funeral is to be announced later.

Funeral services for Mrs. George FRASHER, who passed away Saturday, will be held at 2:30 o'clock Sunday afternoon from the Campbell Funeral Home.
Dr. Gilbert voorhies will have charge. Interment in Evergreen cemetery.
