Mrs. Virginia FRAKES, native of Fairfield and Jefferson County, died Wednesday at 1:05 p.m. in Agency (note: in Wapello Co., IA).
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10:30 a.m., at the Weston Behner Funeral Home with Rev. Jack Weida officiating. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery.
Mrs. FRAKES was born in Fairfield the daughter of William F. and Sara RUMER BEVERING. She attended Fairfield schools and graduated from the Fairfield High School. She also attended business college.
She was married to Chester D. FRAKES in 1927 and in October 1943 they purchased the Fairfield News Agency. Her husband died on Dec. 28, 1958. Mrs. FRAKES continued to operate the business until Jan. 1, 1965
Surviving are two nieces and two nephews, Mrs. Mildred GUITER of Ottumwa and Mrs. Virginia PARSONS of Gladbrook and Willard WHITAKER of Fairfield and John WHITAKER of Tujunga, Calif.
She was preceded in death by one brother and one sister.

IN THE MATTER OF THE ESTATE OF VIRGINIA FRAKES, DECEASED.
TO ALL PERSONS INTERESTED IN THE ESTATE OF VIRGINIA FRAKES DECEASED:
YOU ARE HEREBY NOTIFIED THAT ON THE 22ND DAY OF OCTOBER, 1974, THE LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT OF VIRGINIA FRAKES DECEASED BEARING DATE OF THE 1ST DAY OF JULY, 1966, WAS ADMITTED TO PROBATE IN THE ABOVE NAMED COURT AND THAT WILLARD F. WHITAKER WAS APPOINTED EXECUTOR OF SAID ESTATE.
NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN THAT ANY ACTION TO SET ASIDE SAID WILL MUST BE BROUGHT IN THE DISTRICT COURT OF SAID COUNTY WITHIN ONE YEAR FROM THE DATE OF THE SECOND PUBLICATION OF THIS NOTICE, OR THEREAFTER BE FOREVER BARRED.
NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN THAT ALL PERSONS INDEBTED TO SAID ESTATE ARE REQUESTED TO MAKE IMMEDIATE PAYMENT TO THE UNDERSIGNED, AND CREDITORS HAVING CLAIMS AGAINST SAID ESTATE SHALL FILE THEM WITH THE CLERK OF THE ABOVE NAMED DISTRICT COURT, AS PROVIDED BY LAW, DULY AUTHENTICATED, FOR ALLOWANCE; AND UNLESS SO FILED WITHIN SIX MONTHS FROM THE SECOND PUBLICATION OF THIS NOTICE (UNLESS OTHERWISE ALLOWED OR PAID) SUCH CLAIM SHALL THEREAFTER BE FOREVER BARRED.
