Illness Fatal To Mrs. FORD

Mrs. Frederick P. FORD, 70, 302 W. Stone St., died Wednesday at 8 p.m. at the Jefferson County hospital after a lengthy illness. She had been a patient at the hospital for the past week.

Mrs. FORD had been a member of the Parsons college faculty for 18 years. Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at the First Presbyterian church in charge of Dr. C. R. Douglass. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery. The body is at the Raymond Funeral home.

The former Barbara STANDISH, Mrs. FORD was born Dec. 21, 1889 at Oak Park, Ill., the daughter of Albert and Caroline HUBBARD STANDISH. She was reared and educated in Oak Park and attended Randolph-Macon Women's college. She received her BA degree from Oberlin college in 1913. She was married to Frederick P. FORD April 28, 1916.

Mrs. FORD had been a resident of Fairfield since 1931. She joined the Parsons faculty in 1942 as women's physical education instructor. In 1947 she was named instructor in library science. She was a member of the First Presbyterian church, serving as Sunday School teacher for many years. She was also a member of Chapter HA, PEO.

She is survived by her husband and the following children: Mrs. Mary Carolyn VOTER, Wilmington, Del.; Hubbard FORD, Ft. Worth, Tex.; and Mrs. Kay GREEN, Fairfield. One son, Albert, died in World War II. Also surviving are eight grandchildren and one brother, Stuart STANDISH, Chicago. Six brothers and sisters preceded her in death.
