HELD MISSIONARY SOCIETY MEMORIAL

The Home Missionary society of the First Methodist church held a very impressive meeting on Friday afternoon at the home of Mrs. P. H. Roth, it being a memorial service.

By the death of Mrs. Peter FISHER, the society was left without a president. Mrs. W. A. Stallman, who by virtue of her office as first vice president, has been in charge, was unanimously elected president of the society.

After the business meeting there was a short program, closing with an impressive memorial service in honor of those of our members who have gone to their rest in the recent past.

Mrs. C. A. Allard opened the service, and Mrs. L. T. Gobble spoke very fellingly of the following members, who have died: Mrs. A. V. Frazey, Mrs. Ed Young, Mrs. Elizabeth Ireland, Mrs. Ella Clark, Mrs. Alice Castell and Mrs. Peter FISHER.

Mrs. Gobble's tender words in regard to the departed touched all and awakened a new determination in the hearts of those present.
