FairfieldArthur F. YUENGER, Architect, passed peacefully on March 13, 22. Art was born November 21, 1939, in Flushing Hospital, Queens, New York, the Son of the late Arthur Theodore YUENGER and Dorothy M. LICHTNEGER. He attended PS32 and graduated from Bayside High. Art earned a Bachelor of Architecture in 1962 from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. He designed residential and commercial structures in Colorado, Hawaii and Iowa.
In 1974, Art studied with Maharishi Mahesh Yogi to become a Transcendental Meditation teacher. He taught TM in Fulton County, Aspen, Colorado, and in Fairfield, Iowa, where he also worked on Vastu Housing at Maharish International University.
Art loved the Rocky Mountains, where he skied the bumps. He also spent part of every summer visiting family and friends on Canada Lake and golfing on Nick Stoner.
In retirement he continued to explore and learn. He authored two books, "Bread for the Soul" and "Ratios Proportions Progressions and Spirals."
He is survived by his sister, Barbara Ann MICHAELS (Charles); Daniel P. YUENGER (Joan); his nieces and nephews, Francine HOFFMAN, Bill MICHAELS, Kristen O'BRIEN and Luke YUENGER; and great-nieces and -nephews, Arthur and Jane HOFFMAN, Claire O'BRIEN, Andrew and Molly YUENGER.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, Gloversville (sic - in NY State).
