Verda Fay DAVIS, 85, of Fairfield, passed away February 4, 2022, at her home.

Visitation for family & friends will be 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., Thursday, February 10, 2022, at Behner Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m., Friday, February 11, 2022, at Behner Funeral Home, with Pastor Mary Kathryn Hart officiating. Burial will follow the service at Maple Hill Cemetery (note: in Birmingham, Van Buren Co., IA).

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Shriners Children Hospital or McCreery Cancer Center and mailed to Stanley DAVIS, 210 South 17th Street, Fairfield, IA 52556.

Verda was born August 25, 1936, in Douds, Iowa to Ernest and Margaret (CHANNEL) LAUGHLIN. She married David "Stanley" DAVIS on October 23, 1960. This last year they celebrated 61 years of marriage.

Verda had attended the United Methodist Church in Stockport, Keosauqua and Birmingham. Her interests were painting pictures, crocheting and embordering (sic). She and Stan enjoyed spending the winter in Texas for the last 20 years.

Verda will be missed by her husband, Stan of Fairfield; son, Rick (Kim) REGUR of Fairfield; two grandchldren, DeWayne REGUR of Fairfield and Vickie (John) BROWN of Stockport; grandson, Aaden REGUR; her sister, Ethel BIGGS of Keosauqua; sister-in-law, Marilyn STROTHMAN; nieces, nephews and extended family.

Verda was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Margaret; and niece, Cindy CLAWSON.
