Death of Anna EWING.

The remains of Anna G., youngest daughter of Rev. T. D. EWING, were brought to this city for interment Friday evening. Miss EWING had been ill with consumption for a year or more, and, while for several months past there had been little hope that her life could be prolonged, the announcement of her death at Corning Thursday came as a great shock to those who had known her so well in this city. Miss EWING was eighteen years of age. She was a bright, intelligent, loveable girl. The earlier years of her life were spent in this city and she won many friends who will mourn her death and sorrow with the stricken family. Dr. and Mrs. EWING, Miss Jennie and Jay EWING, brother and sister, accompanied the remains here. The funeral took place early Saturday from the residence of W. E. Thompson. Rev. J. F. Magill and Dr. Smith conducted the services.

Death of Anna EWING.

Friday night of last week the remains of Anna, youngest daughter of Rev. T. D. EWING, formerly of this city, were brought here for burial. She died at her home in Corning, Iowa, of consumption, Thursday morning. Her death was a sad surprise to friends in this community where she lived the greater part of her life, having been born here. Her health had been failing for over a year. Thinking perhaps the climate of Florida might be of some benefit to her, she spent the winter of '92 in that state. The following spring she returned home unimproved, and from that time there never was any hopes of her recovery. Anna was a beautiful girl, full of womanly graces and was beloved by all who knew her. The funeral was held at the residence of W. E. Thompson Saturday morning at half past six o'clock, Rev. J. F. Magill conducting the service. Deceased was in the eighteenth year of her life. The remains were interred in the Evergreen cemetery by the side of her mother.
