Mabel A. EARLEY, 78, of 207 E. Burlington died at her home Tuesday morning.
She was born May 19, 1907, in Boynton, Okla., the daughter of David and Margaret BAIRD LEECH. She married John EARLEY July 30, 1932, in Joliet, Ill. He died Aug. 24, 1952.
Mrs. EARLEY was a member of First United Methodist Church, Wesleyan Circle service guild and PEO. She had been church secretary for 25 years, retiring in 1977.
She is survived by a daughter, Nancy DAVIS, Marshalltown; four grandchildren; a sister, Margaret WILLIAMSON, Albuquerque, N.M.; and a brother, Victor LEECH, Fairfield.
Including her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Joe, a brother and two sisters.
Services will be held Friday at 10 a.m. at Behner Funeral Home with the Rev. Clair Odell officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Family visitation will be Thursday from 7-8 p.m.
Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church.

YOU ARE HEREBY NOTIFIED THAT ON THE 11TH DAY OF JUNE, 1986, THE LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT OF MABEL A. EARLEY, DECEASED, BEARING DATE OF THE 20TH DAY OF MAY, 1975, WAS ADMITTED TO PROBATE IN THE ABOVE NAMED COURT AND THAT NANCY EARLEY DAVIS AND WAYNE E. DAVIS WERE APPOINTED CO-EXECUTORS OF THE ESTATE.
NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN THAT ANY ACTION TO SET ASIDE THE WILL MUST BE BROUGHT IN THE DISTRICT COURT OF SAID COUNTY WITHIN FOUR MONTHS FROM THE DATE OF THE SECOND PUBLICATION OF THIS NOTICE, OR THEREAFTER BE FOREVER BARRED.
NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN THAT ALL PERSONS INDEBTED TO SAID ESTATE ARE REQUESTED TO MAKE IMMEDIATE PAYMENT TO THE UNDERSIGNED, AND CREDITORS HAVING CLAIMS AGAINST SAID ESTATE SHALL FILE THEM WITH THE CLERK OF THE ABOVE NAMED DISTRICT COURT, AS PROVIDED BY LAW, DULY AUTHENTICATED, FOR ALLOWANCE; AND UNLESS SO FILED WITHIN FOUR MONTHS FROM THE SECOND PUBLICATION OF THIS NOTICE (UNLESS OTHERWISE ALLOWED OR PAID) A CLAIM IS THEREAFTER BE FOREVER BARRED.
