WILLIAM "BILL" RICHARDSON
Fairfield

William "Bill" RICHARDSON, 77, of Fairfield, passed away Thursday, September 30, 2021, at Sunny Brook Living Care Center.

Visitation for family & friends will be 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Tuesday, October 5, 2021, at Behner Funeral Home. Celebration of Life service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, October 5, 2021, with Pastor Heidi Williams officiating. Inurnment will be at a later date.

Memorials may be made to the First Lutheran Church or donors' choice and mailed to Patty RICHARDSON, 3305 West Jefferson, Fairfield, IA 52556.

Bill was born May 14, 1944, to Alvin and Alice (WHITE) RICHARDSON. He married Patty GARRELS on August 26, 1978, at Augustana Lutheran Church, Lockridge, IA.

Bill served in the Army and was deployed to Korea. He worked 28 years for Dexter in the foundary (sic) as an engineer. Bill enjoyed playing golf or bowling. He was a member of the Lions Club and served on the Wall of Honor Committee at Fairfield High School. Bill loved watching his children and grandchildren's sporting events and being able to socialize with people. He never knew a stranger.

Bill will be missed by his wife of 43 years, Patty; two sons, Timothy of Pontiac, IL, and Brook (Stephanie) of Ankeny, IA; four grandchildren, Peyton, Cohen, Embry and Easton RICHARDSON; two sisters, Jeannette QUICK of Fairfield and Mary Ann COOK of Pella, IA.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Alvin and Alice; and sister, Helen ORSER.
