Well Known Jefferson County Farmer Dies Suddenly TodayJoe F. (sic - Joe S.) DROZ, well known Jefferson county farmer died suddenly today at 7:30 p.m. at his home southeast of Fairfield. He had been in failing health for some time. He is survived by his wife and one son, Gaston DROZ.
The body was brought to the Hoskins Funeral home in Fairfield.
Mr. DROZ was born Dec. 18, 1860, and was the son of Mr. and Mrs. John DROZ.
Surviving also are two grandchildren Harold and Mary Lou and one sister Mrs. Mary HOSETTE of Stockport. One brother Alex preceded him in death in 1935.
He was a member of the St. Mary's Catholic church, and had been a resident of Cedar Township all of his life.

Services To Be Held In St. Mary's Church At 9:00 A. M.Funeral services for Joe S. DROZ who passed away yesterday at his home southeast of the city, will be held Saturday at 9:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic church. The casket will not be opened at the church, but friends may view the body at the Hoskins Funeral Home preceding the services.

Front Page, Column 2LAST RITES FOR JOE S. DROZ HELD HERE SATURDAY
The last service for Joe S. DROZ were held Saturday at 9 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic church in charge of Rev. Fr. E. F. Gaule. High mass was read. The pallbearers were Bernard and Verne HOSETTE, Glenn PRINCE, Lester WORKMAN, Guy FRY, and Elvin Edwards. Beautiful flowers were laid on the grave by friends. Interment was in Evergreen cemetery.

JOSEPH S. DROZ
Jo was the oldest son of John and Julia PALM DROZ, both natives of France. He was born in Cedar township Dec. 18, 1860 and passed away Oct. 21, 1936 at the age of 75 years, 10 months and 3 days. He was married Jan. 8, 1891 to Miss Mary PRINCE and they lived a happy wedded life. Their entire married life was spent on the same farm where he passed away in Cedar township. He had always enjoyed excellent health until the past year when he was afflicted with heart trouble.
On the morning of Oct. 21 Mrs. DROZ returned to the house following her morning work and found him dead. Only that morning he had gone about his usual work at the farm.
Mr. DROZ was a kind husband and father and an excellent neighbor. He leaves to mourn his loss his devoted wife, one son Gaston DROZ and wife, two grandchildren Harold and Mary Lou and one sister, Mrs. Mary HOSETTE of Stockport. One brother, Alec preceded him in death in 1935.
