Edward R. DONOVAN, 84, lifetime resident of Fairfield, died Monday at 11 p.m. at Van Buren Memorial Hospital in Keosauqua. His home was at 205 N. Sixth St.
DONOVAN entered the hospital two weeks ago. He had resided at the Davis Nursing Home in Keosauqua for four months.
Services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Weston Behner Funeral Home in charge of the Rev. D. O. Van Dyne. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
DONOVAN was born April 26, 1882, in Jefferson County, the son of Simpson and Tillie KNEER (sic - KNERR) DONOVAN. He was married to Neta E. CATHEY Dec. 22, 1927. She preceded him in death Feb. 2, 1960.
He is survived by one step-daughter, Mrs. Leland PEARSON, Alta Loma, Calif.; four step-grandchildren, and one brother, Guy DONOVAN, Fairfield. One brother and two sisters are deceased.

In The District Court Of The State Of Iowa In And For Jefferson County
In The Matter Of The Estate Of E. R. DONOVAN, Deceased.
To All Persons Interested In The Estate of E. R. DONOVAN Deceased:
You are hereby notified that on the 31st day of August, 1966, the last will and testament of E. R. DONOVAN deceased bearing date of the 20th day of July, 1962, was admitted to probate in the above named court and that Nina SMITH was appointed executor of said estate.
Notice is further given that any action to set aside said will must be brought in the district court of said county within one year from the date of the second publication of his notice, or thereafter be forever barred.
Notice is further given that all persons indebted to said estate are requested to make immediate payment to the undersigned, and creditors having claims against said estate shall file them with the clerk of the above named district court, as provided by law, duly authenticated, for allowance; and unless so filed within six months from the second publication of this notice (unless otherwise allowed or paid) such claim shall thereafter be forever barred.
