DIEHL Funeral To Be Thursday

Carl C. DIEHL, retired Jefferson County farmer, died at 7:15 p.m. Monday at the Fairfield Convalescent Home. He had been in failing health for some time and seriously ill the past month.

Last rites have been set for Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at the Raymond Funeral Home with the Rev. Wilson Hyde officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery.

Carl C. DIEHL, 76, was born Sept. 3, 1894, at Hill City, Kansas, the son of Daniel and Nellie CASSELL DIEHL. He was reared and educated in Kansas.

His marriage to Ruth JACOBS took place June 18, 1918, at Lockridge. DIEHL farmed in the Richwoods and Brookville Communities for a number of years before his retirement. He was a veteran of World War I. The family home is located at 109 Iowa Avenue.

In addition to his widow, he is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Arthur WORLEY, Fairfield; three sons, Richard, Fairfield; Darrell, Hollywood, Fla.; and Alan, Sedalia, Mo.; 15 grandchildren, one great grandchild; and a brother, Charles, Lakeland, Fla.

He was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister.

NOTICE OF PROBATE OF WILL, OF APPOINTMENT OF EXECUTOR, AND NOTICE TO CREDITORS

In The District Court Of The State Of Iowa In And For Jefferson County

In The Matter Of The Estate Of Carl C. DIEHL, Deceased.

To All Persons Interested In The Estate of Carl C. DIEHL Deceased:

You are hereby notified that on the 27th day of April, 1971, the Last Will and Testament of Carl C. DIEHL, deceased, bearing date of the 3rd day of February, 1966, was admitted to probate in the above named court and that Richard DIEHL and Arthur WORLEY were appointed executors of said estate.

Notice is further given that any action to set aside said Will must be brought in the District Court of said Couty within one year from the date of the second publication of this notice, or thereafter be forever barred.

Notice is further given that all persons indebted to said estate are requested to make immediate payment to the undersigned, and creditors having claims against said estate shall file them with the Clerk of the above named District Court, as provided by law, duly authenticated, for allowance; and unless so filed within six months from the second publication of this notice (unless otherwise allowed or paid) such claim shall thereafter be forever barred.
