BrightonMatthew Stephen KELLER, 42, of Brighton, died at his home in Brighton, Thursday, July 29, 2021. He was born October 7, 1978, to Stephen and Kathianne MACY KELLER in Fairfield. He grew up in Brighton, attended Brighton Elementary, graduated from Washington High School in 1997 and attended Indian Hills community College. Matt worked for Lewis Security, wrecker services, an organic feed elevator, Roe's Heating and Cooling and most recently Air Doctor Heating and Cooling in Brighton. He was an active Boy Scout, participated in wrestling, Bowling including an international tournament, high school band, pool, MIOBI member, Whoopee Days Mud Run and officiated in Demo Derbys, and he enjoyed grilling, rebuilding cars and engines and auto racing.
Matt is survived by his mother, Kathianne in Brighton; his father, Stephen and his wife Lois of Fairfield; son, Jarrod KELLER of Keota; step-grandmother, Karen WHITE of Fairfield; half-brother, Kurtis KELLER of Riverside; step-brother Shawn KELLER of Cedar Rapids; step-sister, Julie TUBBS, Helena, AL,; and several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Charles and Loretta KELLER and Willard and Donna MACY; and aunt, Donna LANTZ.
Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, August 4, 2021, at the Brighton Community Church, with Rev. Rick Zickefoose officiating. Burial will be in Wright Cemetery near Fairfield. Visitation will be held 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday evening at the Brighton Community Church.
A general memorial has been established and may be left at the church or mailed to P.O. Box 328, Brighton, IA 52540.
