P. A. DANIELSON DIES SUDDENLY
Funeral Services Tomorrow Afternoon From Hoskins Funeral Home

P. A. DANIELSON, resident of Jefferson county for the past 45 years, died suddenly yesterday morning at the home of his son, Carl W. DANIELSON 1104 South Main street. He had been in poor health for the past nine months.

Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock tomorrow afternoon from the Hoskins Funeral home in charge of Dr. U. S. Smith. The body was taken to the Carl DANIELSON home at noon today and will be taken to the funeral home at 10 o'clock tomorrow morning where it will lie in state until time for the services. Interment will take place in Evergreen cemetery.

Mr. DANIELSON was born in Sweden May 14, 1849. He has been prominent in community and business affairs in Jefferson county during his long residence here. His wife preceded him in death fourteen years ago. He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Oscar ROBERTS, and three sons, Frank R., J. I. and Carl W. DANIELSON, all of this city. He also leaves nine grandchildren.

OBITUARY

P. A. DANIELSON

Peter August DANIELSON, son of Mr. and Mrs. John DANIELSON, was born near Stockholm, Sweden, May 14 1849, and departed this life November 11, 1931, at the age of 82 years, 5 months and 28 days.

His early life was spent in Sweden attending school and with other activities such as burning char-coal, cutting timber and with blacksmith work.

At the age of twenty, he and his older brother Charles came to this country, locating at Burlington, Ia., doing various jobs, until enough money was saved to send for their father, mother, two brothers and two sisters.

Later he came to Lockridge, Ia., and engaged in farming. There he married Amelia RIVEY, June 28, 18881 (sic). In 1888 they moved to the farm four miles south of Fairfield, where he lived until a short time after the death of his wife, June 10, 1917. Since then he has spent the most of the time with his children and in Fairfield, being at the home of hs (sic) son Carl when death came.

He is survived by his four children: Mrs. Lavina ROBERTS, John Irvin, Carl William, and Frank Raymond, also six grandchildren, one granddaughter Leona ROBERTS having preceded him in death.

He is also survived by one brother Herman DANIELSON, of Burlington, Ia., and one sister Mrs. Emma BERG of Denver, Colorado. Two brothers, Charles and William and one sister, Mrs. Lou HOPKIRK, having preceded him in death.

In his youth he was confirmed Lutheran and after coming to this country he united with the Methodist-Protestant church of the Selma Circuit.

Funeral services were held at the Hoskins funeral home Friday at 2:00 o'clock conducted by Dr. Smith of the Methodist Church.

Mrs. Frank Pierson and Mrs. Arthur Greef very beautifully sang "The Perfect Program" and "Just For Today."

The Floral offerings were many and beautiful. Mrs. O. C. Gaumer and Mrs. Chas. C. Brown had charge of the flowers.

The pall bearers were nephews of the deceased. They were: Albert, Roy and Clarence DANIELSON, David and Gordon HOPKIRK, and Pete MILLSPAUGH.

Burial was in Evergreen Cemetry (sic).

To All Whom It May Concern,

Notice is hereby given that an instrument, purporting to be the last Will and Testament of P. A. DANIELSON, Deceased, is now on file in the office of the Clerk of the District Court of Jefferson county, and that December 18, A. D., 1931 at 9 oclock a.m., it being the 29th day of the November Term of said court, has been set for proof and final hearing of same.

Witness my hand and the seal of said Court this 4th day of December 1931.
