FairfieldLarry HAHN, 72, of Fairfield, passed away Friday, July 2, 2021. Visitation for family & friends will be 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, July 9, at Behner Funeral Home. Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Saturday, July 10, at Behner Funeral Home. Cremation will follow the service. Inurnment will be at a later date.
A memorial in Larry's honor will be determined at a later date by the family.
Larry was born Nov. 7, 1948, in Fairfield, to Ardell and Maxine (LEDGER) HAHN. He married Kelly Rae HEADLEY on Aug. 14, 1982. Larry grew up in Pleasant Plain and moved to Fairfield, where he graduated with the Class of 1967. He served in the Army during the Vietnam War (sic - Vietnam Conflict). After the service he was a welder for Pech's Welding and Schaus-Vorhies Manufacturing Inc. For many years, he managed Tony's Turbo Wash until his retirement.
Larry was a member of Iowa Rodeo Cowboy Association and United Rodeo Association. He ws a team roper and enjoyed teaching his daughter Raelyn how to rope. Larry spent many years traveling to rodeos, youth rodeos and high school rodeos with his family. In his most recent years, he enjoyed watching Kelly, Raelyn and Adelyn compete. He was also an avid racoon hunter (sic).
Larry will be missed by his wife, Kelly of Fairfield; daughter, Raelyn (Levi) McDOWELL of Fairfield; grandddaughter, Adelyn McDOWELL; five siblings, Pat (Gail) HAHN of Burridge, Ill., Diane MANCHESTER of Fairfield, Dan (Karen) HAHN of Phoenix, Ariz., Christy (Ron) SWITZER of Farifield and Nick (Maryanne) HAHN of Brighton; and many nieces, nephews, several aunts, additional family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ardell and Maxine; and many aunts and uncles.
