CORRESPONDENCE

Buchanan Township

The death of William CUMMINGS has cast a gloom over our entire neighborhood. This is but one more instance of "In the midst of life we are in death." Billie (as he was known to us all), was born and raised in our midst and the family has hosts of friends here who deeply mourn the death of such a good man. A singular coincidence is that the three brothers all died on the same farm--the old homestead--in the last few years.
