Mrs. Elizabeth A. CULBERTSON died at Atlanta, Mo., Wednesday of last week. The remains were brought to this city for interment Thursday, and funeral services were held in the residence of Mrs. Mary Woods by Rev. J. A. Boatman. The body was then laid by the side of other members of the family who had preceded the wife and mother to that greater world. Deceased was the wife of the late John W. CULBERTSON, and she was one of the pioneer women of Fairfield. The family came here in February, 1840, and for many years resided on a farm immediately south of the city. Mrs. CULBERTSON was one of the organizers of the Methodist church of Fairfield, and the last one to survive. Among the pioneer settlers of the county she had many and warm acquaintances, and, though always a woman of delicate health, she outlived most of her generation. Mrs. CULBERTSON was born in Wayne county, Ohio, February 20th, 1811, and was a daughter of William and Rachel EAGLE. She was married Janaury 22d, 1834. She was the mother of two children, both of whom are dead, and with her death one of the pioneer families of the county has wholly passed away.
