D. CRANDALL rites set

Donald O. CRANDALL, 58, 1010 S. Fourth, died at 6:20 a.m. at the Ottumwa Hospital (note: in Wapello Co., IA). He had been ill the past year.

The service will be Friday at 2 p.m. at the Behner Funeral Home with the Rev. Paul Vaughan officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 7 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

The son of Roy and Goldie BOLLMAN CRANDALL, he was born Feb. 18, 1921 at Bloomfield. He was married to Edith SEATON in 1944 at Casper, Wyo.

He served with the U.S. Air Force during World War II. He had been a foreman at the American Chain and Cable Company for the past 25 years. He was a member of the Free Methodist Church, Eagles Lodge (sic - Aerie/Club), VFW Post and American Legion.

Surviving are his wife; two sons, Donald S. CRANDALL, Oskaloosa and Jerry L. CRANDALL, Coin; his mother, Goldie ARCHER, Bloomfield; one brother, Melvin ARCHER, Cedar Rapids; and a sister, Mary Lou GORDON, California. He was preceded in death by his father.
