Mrs. Percy DROZ has received word of the death of her mother, Mrs. Malinda COURTNEY, who passed away yesterday evening at the home of her son, T. A. COURTNEY at Baker, Oregon. The funeral party will probably arrive Thursday or Friday and funeral announcement will be made later.

M. W. COURTNEY and Fred METZLER accompanying the body of Mrs. Malinda COURTNEY, who passed away Monday at the home of her son, T. A. COURTNEY at Baker, Ore., will arrive in Fairfield Sunday afternoon. Funeral services will be held from Butler's Funeral parlors Monday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, conducted by Rev. Lewis Mendenhall. Interment will be made in Evergreen cemetery.

Services At Butler's Funeral Parlors and Interment In EvergreenThe last rites for Mrs. Malinda COURTNEY, who died Monday at the home of her son T. A. COURTNEY at Baker, Ore., were held yesterday afternoon at 2:30 oclock from the Butler Funeral parlors in charge of Rev. Lewis Mendenhall.
Mrs. Frank Pierson and Miss Cora Ball sang, "Going Down the Valley" and "Bringing in the Sheaves." Six of Mrs. COURTNEY's grandsons served as pall bearers and they are the following: Frank COURTNEY and Arthur BROOKHART of Muscatine and Everett GARRETT, Walter HYDE and Henry LETCHNER of Brighton and Calvin COURTNEY of this city. Interment took place in Evergreen cemetery.

--N. W. COURTNEY of LaGrande Ore., and Fred METZLER of Baker Ore., went to Stockport last evening to visit at the home of their brother, J. W. COURTNEY.
