Mrs. CARR (sic - CORR) is also very ill, but was showing a little improvement. Mr. CORR has been sinking rapidly the past week and for three days has been very low. ...

WILLIAM CORR DIED

William CORR died yesterday afternoon about 5:30 o'clock at his home on North B street after a lingering illness extending over a period of three years. Mr. CORR's affliction was cancer on the face and his death has been hourly expected for the past two weeks. Last Saturday he became so bad he could not partake of any nourishment and laid in that condition until his death.

Mr. CORR was an old soldier, hav- (sic) served his country during the civil war. He leaves a wife and several children to mourn his death. The funeral service ere held (sic) this afternoon at three o'clock at the home and were conducted by Rev. C. L. Tennant, pastor of the Methodist church, who talked for a short time when the members of George Strong Post No. 19 G. A. R, and other old soldiers took charge oft he (sic) remains and escorted them to Evergreen cemetery where they were laid to rest.

Mrs. CORR is also quite ill with an affliction of the heart and much sympathy is felt for the family.

Wm. CORR, who has been suffering for the past two or three years with a cancer on his face, passed away at his home on North B St. at 5 o'clock Friday evening. Funeral services under the direction of George Strong Post G. A. R. conducted by Rev. Tennant were held at the home at 3 p.m. Saturday. He is survived by a wife and four children, two sons and two daughters.

William CORR.

After an illness covering a period of three years, William CORR passed away at his home on North B street on Friday afternoon, October 22, 1909. Mr. CORR was the father of Mrs. S. CORNELL on East Burlington street, and had many friends in the city who will mourn his death. He was an old soldier, having served his country in the Civil War. Besides his wife and daughter in this city, he leaves several children, and the bereaved family are receiving the sympathy of many friends in their time of sorrow. To add to the pathos of the case, Mrs. CORR has also been very ill with an attack of heart trouble and the shock of her husband's death comes as a hard blow to her. Funeral services were held at the home on Saturday afternoon, conducted by Rev. C. L. Tennant,, pastor of the First Methodist church of this city. The body was laid to rest in Evergreen cemetery, the members of the G. A. R. and other old soldiers conducting the services at the cemetery.

William CORR was born in Fayette county, Penn., in 1840. When eight years of age he came with his parents to Bonaparte, Iowa, where he grew to young manhood, and in 1859 he enlisted as a volunteer in the Civil war, where he served three years. In 1865 he was married to Miss Mary E. MONTGOMERY. Eight children were born to Mr. and Mrs. CORR, five of whom survive to mourn the loss of their father, three of them having preceded him to the better world. The surviving children are John and Clarence, of New Boston, Ill., Samuel and Miss May CORR and Mrs. S. CORNELL of this city.
