Fairfield

Fran A. COX, 70, of Fairfield, Iowa, went peacefully to be with the Lord on Sunday, Jan. 10, 2021, at her home. She is now dancing with Jesus.

She was born Oct. 16, 1950, to Victor and Mildred BLAKLEY. She graduated from Fairfield High School in 1968 and attended Indian Hills Community College for her business degree. She worked for DHS in Fairfield as an income maintenance case worker for 30 years. Through the years, she was also very involved in helping the community through her church as well as supporting her husband's business. She was a proud member of The Gathering Place in Fairfield.

Fran married the love of her life and best friend, Reggie COX, on Dec. 1, 1979, in Fairfield, Iowa. They enjoyed traveling, camping, riding motorcycles, boating and going on fun adventures together.

Fran is survived by her husband; son, Scott and wife Emily of Fairfield, Iowa; sisters, Mary THOMAS of Houston, Texas, and Jane LEU-GARRETSON and husband Lynn GARRETSON of Fairfield, Iowa; and many well-loved nieces, nephews, and "GREAT" nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Joe BLAKLEY, and brother-in-law, Ron THOMAS.

Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Jan. 16, at Foursquare Church (The Well), 1700 S. Main, Fairfield, Iowa. The family would welcome any memories or stories you would like to write down for them to read together. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Memorials will go to Compassus Hospice and may be mailed to Reggie COX, 1980 Libertyville Rd., Fairfield, IA 52556.
