Eric Dale SOLHEIM was born June 29, 1947, in Fairfield, Iowa, to Arthur and Gertrude SOLHEIM and passed away after surgery in Bend, Ore., on December 31, 2020. He graduated from Fairfield High School in 1966. During those years he played football as a tackle, punter and kicker. He spent his college freshman year at Parsons. Following that he moved to California with friends. He served in the Army in Vietnam during 1968-1969 as one of the group of specialists who paid the troops. After service, he worked and continued his education. He graduated from California State in Long Beach with a degree in real estate/finance. He became Director of multi-family land acquisitions for Regis Homes Corp. and V.P. of Acquisitions for the Pacific Co. He won many honors and awards during his 40-year career in California and Arizona, among which was being named Realtor of the Year by the Scottsdale Realtors Association in 2002.

Eric married the love of his life, Nita BURCH, on June 18, 1986, in Molokai, Hawaii. She survives at their home in Klamath Falls, Ore. He also is survived by a stepson, Walt SWEENEY (Kristy) of Klamath Falls. Also surviving are an older brother, Robert (Janet) of Wentzville, Mo.; nieces, Kristin SOLHEIM (Manny ORTIZ) of Chevy Chase, Md., and Cynthia ALBERS (Keith) of Grand Junction, Colo.; sister, Myrna CURTIS (Terry) of Williamsburg, Iowa; niece, Debra DeGROOT (Pat) of Green Bay, Wis.; nephew, Lewis (Julie) of Underwood, Iowa; and nephew, Patrick (Brenda) of Des Moines, Iowa. Eric had seven great-nephews and three great-nieces.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date. A memorial fund has been established for Eric - Nita Solheim, 9063 Hwy. 66, Klamath Falls, OR 97601, phone 602-370-5559.

Eric had a unique sense of humor and was kind to all he met. Eric loved playing golf with friends, Iowa Hawkeyes, Green Bay Packers, fireworks, entertaining his nephews and nieces along with family and friends, jazz, and his F.H.S. classmates.

The pain is over. May he rest in peace with his Lord and Savior.
