L. V. COLESON Rites Tuesday

Laurence V. COLESON, 80, 706 E. Adams, died Saturday at 4:10 p.m. at the Jefferson County Hospital after a serious illness of two and a half weeks.

Services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Weston Behner Funeral Home in charge of the Rev. Hoyt L. Whitebread. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.

COLESON was a retired custodian at the local hospital. He made his home in Fairfield for more than 50 years.

He was born Nov. 7, 1885 in Marshall County, Ill., the son of August and Anna LINDGREN COLESON. He was married to Clara SANDEN Dec. 2, 1916. She preceded him in death Oct. 19, 1948.

Surviving are five children; Mrs. Verlyn SKORONSKI, Valparaiso, Ind.; Mrs. Eloise KOPATICH, East Moline, Ill.; Donald B. COLESON, Fairfield; Mrs. Rosalie CONNOR, Libertyville; and Mrs. Betty LOGAN, Burlington.

Also surviving are eight grandchildren and the following sisters and brothers:

Mrs. Arthur JOHNSON, Mrs. Raymond ZEIGLER and Harriett COLESON, all of Fairfield; Emmett COLESON, Faribault, Minn., and Bernard COLESON, Yucaipa, Calif.

Two brothers and two sisters are deceased.
