JAMES CLARK DIES AT HOME

James E. CLARK, 72, resident of Jefferson county for the past nine years, passed away at his home four miles southeast of Lockridge at 4 a.m. today. He had been in failing health since he fell and broke his hip December 9, 1946.

Mr. CLARK was born May 23, 1874, in Indiana, the son of the late John and Lusinda KERKENDOLL CLARK.. He was united in marriage in 1928 to Mary E. FREEMAN.

The family moved to Jefferson county from Indiana nine years ago and have lived near Lockridge since. He was a farmer by occupation.

Mr. CLARK is survived by his wife and three stepdaughters: Mrs. Albert WEBB, West Plaines, Missouri; Mrs. William CORRIGAN, Los Angeles, Mrs. Clifford JEREL (sic - JERREL), Fairfield. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

CLARK Rites To Be Monday Afternoon

Last rites for James E. CLARK will be held Monday afternoon at the Hoskins funeral home. The services will be at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. S. P. Williamson in charge. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.

Mr. CLARK passed away at his home four miles southeast of Lockridge Friday morning after an illness of several months.
