Dale E. CHASE, 40, 1010 S. Third St., died Saturday at 8:08 p.m. at the Jefferson County Hospital after a lengthy illness.
CHASE was assistant cashier at the Iowa State Bank and Trust Co., where he had been employed for the past five years.
Services will be held Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in charge of the Rev. Jim Stumbo. Masonic rites will be held at the church. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. The body will be taken from the Raymond Funeral Home to the church at noon Tuesday.
CHASE was born March 27, 1929 at Corning, the son of Lewis H. and Ileathie MADISON CHASE. He was reared and educated in Corning.
CHASE attended Parsons College and served in the U.S. Army for two years. He was married Sept. 19, 1955 to Lea Ann FOWLER.
Surviving are his widow and three sons: Dale II, Scott and Curtis, all at home. Also surviving are his mother of Corning; two brothers, Don CHASE, Grant, Iowa, and Larry CHASE, Excelsior, Minn.; and one sister, Mrs. Ruth KRALIK, Creston.
His father and one brother are deceased.
Before joining the staff of the Iowa State Bank, CHASE was employed by the Gasoline Tax Division of the Iowa Treasurer's Office for 10 years.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church and a past master of Clinton Lodge No. 15, AF&AM. He was also a member of the Kiwanis Club, White Shrine and Fraternal Order of Eagles.
Members of the Kiwanis Club will meet Tuesday at 1:15 p.m. at the church to attend the services.

In The District Court Of The State Of Iowa In And For Jefferson County
In The Matter Of The Estate Of Dale E. CHASE, Deceased.
To All Persons Interested In The Estate Of Dale E. CHASE, Deceased:
You are hereby notified that on the 9th day of January, 1970, the last will and testament of Dale E. CHASE deceased bearing date of the 20th day of October, 1969, was admitted to probate in the above named Court and that Lea Ann CHASE was appointed executor of said estate.
Notice is further given that any action to set aside said will must be brought in the district court of said County within one year from the date of the second publication of his notice, or thereafter be forever barred.
Notice is further given that all persons indebted to said estate are requested to make immediate payment to the undersigned, and creditors having claims against said estate shall file them with the clerk of the above named district court, as provided by law, duly authenticated, for allowance; and unless so filed within six months from the second publication of this notice (unless otherwise allowed or paid) such claim shall thereafter be forever barred.
