Jean CHAMP, 48, of 302 W. Adams died Saturday morning at Jefferson County Hospital.
She was born in Iowa City June 28, 1937, the daughter of Fay O. and Eulalia CARLOW CHAMP. She lived her entire life in Fairfield and had worked a (sic) Charlie's IGA as a grocery clerk for 27 years. Ms. CHAMP was a member of Fairfield Free Methodist Church, where she has taught Sunday school, and WMFI.
Ms. CHAMP is survived by three brothers, Oren and Robert of Fairfield, John of Waterloo; and three sisters, Kathryn and Charlotte CHAMP of Fairfield, and Mary KISLING of Keosauqua.
She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers.
Funeral services for Ms. CHAMP will be Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Free Methodist Church with the Rev. Charles Kaufmann officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Friends may call at their convenience at Behner Funeral Home.
Memorials have been established to Free Methodist Church or American Cancer Society.
