Mrs. Marshall E. CASE, 75, passed away at 4 a.m. today at her home, 202 W. Adams street, following a lengthy illness.
She suffered a stroke on Feb. 7, 1952, while visiting in Glendale, Calif., and has been in poor health since. She was a patient in the Jefferson county hospital for a time after she returned to Fairfield.
Last rites will be Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at the Hoskins funeral home with the Rev. S. P. Williamson in charge. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.
Minnie Florence CASE was born May 9, 1877, in Salem, Iowa. She was the daughter of the late Nathan and Ava CROSBY HOCKETT.
She was united in marriage on Dec. 6, 1901, to Marshall E. CASE who survives. The wedding took place in Round Prairie township where the couple spent most of their married life.
They moved to Fairfield six years ago from a farm near Glasgow. Mrs. CASE was a member of the Christian church.
Besides her husband, she is survived by one son, Frank, of Glendale, Calif.; one grandson; a brother, Frank HOCKETT, Palm Beach, Fla., and a sister, Mrs. J. J. FRARY, Greeley, Colo.
