Mrs. CARSE, Formerly Of Salina Community, Dies In Washington

Relatives received word here that Mrs. Will CARSE, former resident of the Salina community, passed away at Spokane, Wash., last Saturday.

The body is being shipped to Fairfield and funeral arrangements will be made following its arrival.

Funeral Services For Mrs. Will CARSE To Be Here Saturday

Funeral services for Mrs. Will CARSE, former resident of near Salina, will be held Saturday at 2:30 p.m. at the Hoskins funeral home.

Mrs. CARSE passed away in Spokane, Washington, last Saturday. The body will arrive in Fairfield Friday afternoon.

Mrs. CARSE is survived by two sisters-in-law living in Fairfield. They are Mrs. Amy BARTLETT and Miss Ethel CARSE.

... --Mr. and Mrs. Bert DAY and daughter, Mrs. Richard AIN, 402 South Second street, had as Sunday dinner guests their cousins, Mr. and Mrs. Scott FUQUA, of Spokane, Wash., and Dr. and Mrs. T. C. WHITTINGTON of North English, the latter a sister of Mrs. DAY. Mr. and Mrs. FUQUA will visit in this vicinity for two or three weeks before returning to their home. They arrived in Fairfield on Friday, havinga ccompanied the body of Mr. FUQUA's sister, Mrs. Will CARSE here for burial. Mrs. CARSE had made her home with them for the past three years. This was the first time in 30 years that Mr. and Mrs. FUQUA have been to Fairfield. Mrs. FUQUA will be remembered as Miss Leta NOBLE. Mr. DAY, who is comployed by the highway commission, was also present and spent the weekend here, returning to his work on Monday.

--Mr. and Mrs. Scott FUQUA who have been visiting relatives and friends here for the past two weeks having accompanied the body of Mrs. Ethel CARSE here for burial, will return to their home in Seattle, Wash., tonight.

Note: Buried in Lot 2nd.184 with husband William Austin CARSE who died in 1936. Her birth year as noted on her gravestone is 1870, however the census record from 1900 indicates she was born December, 1871, and marriage record from May, 1908, corroborates this.
