Former member of firm of Picken & Campbell was long illAfter a long illness William O. CAMPBELL, well known young man of Fairfield and former partner in the form of Picken and Campbell, died at 4:30 p.m. yesterday at the Jefferson County hospital. He was 32 and has been in failing health for the past two years. His condition had been serious for about four months and for the past few weeks he has been at the hospital.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 3:30 p.m. at the Hoskins Funeral Home. Rev. S. P. Williamson, of the Christian church will conduct the service. Interment will be in Evergreen cemetery.
Mr. CAMPBELL was born in Miami, Mo., June 11, 1906. After preliminary schooling he went to Iowa City, where he entered the State University. In that city he became associated with the Triangle Auto Supply Co. In 1925 he was sent to Fairfield to have charge of the Triangle company's store here. Later he completed his work at the State University of Iowa and was graduated there in 1926.
In 1929, in company with Raymond Picken, he purchased the business of the Triangle company, the firm becoming Picken and Campbell. He was united in marriage with Miss Emma LENTNER October 16, 1929. He is survived by his wife, one brother, Robert of Malvern, his stepmother, Mrs. Etta CAMPBELL of Los Angeles, Cal. and one sister, Mrs Selmar LOWKKEN, of Circle, Mont.
W. T. LENTNER of Creston, father of Mrs. CAMPBELL, arrived this morning as did also Mr. and Mrs. Robert CAMPBELL of Malvern.

Page TWO, Column 1AMONG THE OUT OF TOWN people who attended the funeral of William CAMPBELL held yesterday at the Hoskins Funeral Home were Mr. and Mrs. Robert CAMPBELL of Malvern, who are the brother and sister-in-law of William CAMPBELL; Mr. and Mrs. Frank MOTE and son Kenneth of Hampton, who are the sister and brother-in-law of Mrs. CAMPBELL; and Mr. and Mrs. L. E. Nordyke of Burlington.
Mrs. MOTE expects to spend a few days with Mrs. CAMPBELL before returning to her home.

Mr. and Mrs. Paul Haney of Mount Pleasant were in Fairfield yesterday attending the funeral of William C. (sic - William O.) CAMPBELL.
