Merle A. CAMPBELL, 68, retired employe of the Iowa Malleable Iron Co., died Tuesday at Public Hospital in Moline, Ill., where he had been a patient for 12 days.
Services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at he Weston Behner Funeral Home in charge of the Rev. D. O. VanDyne. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
CAMPBELL made his home four and a half miles south of Fairfield. He was born April 17, 1899 in Poweshiek County, the son of Braiden and Dora ENSMINGER CAMPBELL. He was married to Alice MOORE June 24, 1918.
Surviving are his widow, one daughter, Mrs. John L. BROWN, Silvis, Ill.; seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Three sisters also survive: Mrs. Mayme FINKLE, Sacramento, Calif.; Mrs. Pearl BURNS, Waterloo; and Mrs. Phoebe FELDSCHNEIDER, Marshalltown. One son and one brother are deceased.
