John Stanford CAMPBELL, 67, retired farmer, died Friday at 9:45 p.m. at the Jefferson County hospital following an illness of 18 months. He made his home at the Ranch Motel.
Services will be held Tuesday at 9 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic church in charge of the Rev. Fr. Francis Henricksen. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.
The Rosary will be recited Monday at 7:30 p.m. at the Raymond Funeral home.
CAMPBELL was born March 13, 1897 at Batavia, the son of Calvin and Pearl STANFORD CAMPBELL. He was reared and educated in the Batavia community. He was married to Martha TEBERG April 12, 1921. They lived near Mt. Union for many years and in the Birmingham and Agency areas before moving to Fairfield seven years ago.
CAMPBELL was a member of St. Mary church, the Eagles and Elks lodges.
He is survived by his wife, one son, Jack CAMPBELL, Fairfield; and one daughter, Mrs. Paul O'CONNOR, Agency. Also surviving are seven grandchildren and three brothers: A. G. CAMPBELL, Mason, Mich.; Raymond CAMPBELL, Lansing, Mich. and Clay CAMPBELL, Libertyville. Two brothers and one sister are deceased.
