Mrs. Ada BYER Taken In Death

Mrs. Ada BYER, long-time resident of Fairfield, passed away about 3 a.m. today at the Sunnyslope Sanitarium in Ottumwa (note: in Wapello Co., IA) where she had been a patient for several months. Her home is at 203 E. Grimes.

Mrs. BYER was born at Oskaloosa, Ia., in 1882. She was united in marriage to Edward WEST. Following his death in 1927 she was married a second time to William BYER. He preceded his wife in death in 1944.

Mr. and Mrs. WEST were the parents of two daughters, Mrs. Elsie STOCKER, Hickory Dale Acre, St. Charles, Mo; and Mrs. Ruth GESLING, Fairfield. Mrs. BYER is also survived by four step-daughters, Mrs. Florence LEE, East Moline, Ill.; Mrs. Nellie LEE, East Moline; Mrs. Alice CAMPBELL, Detroit, Michigan; and Mrs. Glen WILSON, Fairfield.

She is also survived by 20 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren. She was a member of the Church of the Nazarene.

The body is at the Weston Behner funeral home where last rites are pending.

Ada BYER Funeral Will Be Monday

Last rites for Mrs. Ada BYER will be held Monday at 1:30 p.m. at the Weston Behner funeral home with the Rev. J. P. Foster officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.

Mrs. BYER passed away early Friday morning at the Sunnyslope Sanitarium in Ottumwa where she had been a patient for several months. She is a long-time resident of Fairfield.
