David L. BUSH rites Saturday

David Lee BUSH, 41, a native of Fairfield and a former Iowa Electric Co. employee, died at 4:48 a.m. today at University Hospitals in Iowa City (note: in Johnson Co., IA).

Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Raymond Funeral Home with the Rev. James Grubb officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. The casket will not be open.

Memorials may be made to the Jefferson County Care Facility or the Ronald McDonald House in Iowa City.

In April, 1972, while employed at the Iowa Electric Co., BUSH was presented a certificate of commendation from the National Safety Council and a letter from Duane Arnold, president of Iowa Electric, for his action in saving the lives of a mother and son overcome by fumes.

The rescue took place in a mobile house located east of Fairfield.

David Lee BUSH was born Aug. 7, 1942, in Fairfield and graduated from the Fairfield High School in 1960.

He was a lineman for the Iowa Electric Co. for a number of years and served many years as a CPR instructor. He was later employed at the Fairfield Country Club before he became associated with the Main Gate Lounge.

He was married to Dolores J. STALDER Aug. 7, 1963, in Washington. The family home is at 1006 S. Seventh.

In addition to his widow, "Dee", BUSH is surived by two daughters Susan and Sara, both at home, and his mother, Mary BUSH, Fairfield.
