BRUEY rites Saturday

Irene BRUEY, 93, formerly of 50 W. Adams, died at 7:50 p.m. Wednesday at the Jefferson County Hospital. She had been in failing health for a number of years.

Last rites will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Behner Funeral Home with the Rev. John Wilken officiating. Interment will be in the Evergreen Cemetery.

Irene BRUEY was born April 16, 1888, in Jefferson County. She was the daughter of William and Cora McMULLEN CROWNER.

She was united in marriage to Frank Edward BRUEY Dec. 19, 1906. He preceded his wife in death Nov. 6, 1965.

Survivors include two daughters and one son: Ferne BURK, Libertyville; Juanita JAMES, Oroville, Calif.; and Richard W. BRUEY, Fairfield.

Also nine grandchildren, a number of great-grandchildren and a sister, June ANDERS, Fairfield.

Mrs. BRUEY spent her entire life in Jefferson County.

The family of Irene BRUEY would like to thank our friends, neighbors and relatives for their cards, visits, food, flowers, and memorial money. We appreciate your concern and all the help during the loss of our mother, grandma, and sister. A special thanks to Rev. Wilkens, casket bearers, Behner Funeral Home, Clara Hickenbottom and the Fairfield police force.
