Frances J. BOURNE 14-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. F. BOURNE, of Modesto, Ill., and granddaughter of Mrs. J. A. McCONNELL, 705 N. Main, Fairfield, died Sunday afternoon in the hospital at Carlinville, Ill., of endocarditis following an appendicitis operation.
She was born on June 16, 1923 in Fairfield. She is survived by her parents, grandmother, and several aunts and uncles.
Funeral services will be held at Mrs. McCONNELL's home in Fairfield at 3:00 Tuesday afternoon, in charge of Rev. J. I. Dool. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.

FRANCES J. BOURNE
Frances Josephine BOURNE was born in Fairfield, Ia. June 16, 1923 and passed away Sunday, Apr. 24, 1938 at Macoupin Hospital in Carlinville, Ill., of endocarditis. following an appendisitis (sic) operation.
Much of her childhood was spent in Fairfield. She attended school here until her parents moved to a farm near Modesto, Ill., where she entered high school at Scottville Ill. where she was a most popular student.
Interested and active in 4-H club work she won several prizes on her projects. Always enjoying Sunday School and church, she was baptised and joined the church in May 1936.
Of a happy and sunny disposition she was able to make countless friends who will mourn her passing.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, April 26th from the home of her grandmother, Mrs. J. E. McCONNELL in Fairfield with Rev. J. I. Dool reading the services. Music during the service was furnished by Miss Cora Ball accompanied by Miss Elizabeth Bell; and Mr. Paul Coleson accompanied by Mrs. Coleson.
Classmates serving as pall bearers were Eugene Spry; Warren Simmons; Paul Gorman; Frederick Dahl; Gerald Vorhies and Ronald Vorhies.
She is survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. F. BORUNE (sic - BOURNE) of Modesto, Ill. and numerous other relatives.
